Passed!! Good 4 theory, but dubious hazard perception  |
My driving instructor gave me this 2-Disc theory driving compliation, and from the outset i was impressed by the presentation of the package. Everything in the first disc (theory question section) seemed clear and logically explained. And comparison of results over time using automated charts to monitor progress is a refreshing composition to the program.However, the second disc, which contains the hazard perception, i feel has let me down somewhat, because althoguh the core basis of how u are tested for hazards is the same, there are glaring differences to the way in which you are tested in observation and the method of wich this is done, i do not think this can properly prepare you for the test. Its good for use to get a feeling of how its done when u are properly tested, but i dont think it really does much justice, which is a shame. For the theory questions section alone, i beleive this to be an essential buy for practising for the theory test. Also, the "show me, tell me" section is a worthy inclusion for preparing for this new section of the driving practical test.

Great product for knowing the theory questions. When I sat down for my test I thought this was too easy, simply because I had been revising from this CD together with the DSA "Driving the essential skills" Book. All the pictures were exact and the questions were word for word....it is simple if you revise. Using the CD to its fullest tracks your own progress from the first moment you log in to it. It is annoying having to change disks for the Hazard Perception Test which I actually cant seem to work out the scoring..it is a 50/50 thing, you either can or cant or in my case, just about. The requirements are passing with 44 out of 75 - i got 47...hmmm. With this CD you can learn some theory - try it at least 10 times with your book in hand - then move onto a test and stick with the test from therein. I wish it had its own "know these signs" (highway code) section, because I would have to give it 5/5 if it did. Affordable and decently priced.

Its really good practice for the theory test, especially the Hazard Perception Test because the clips they use on the CD are a lot like the clips used in the real test.
The set-up is very similar to the actual theory test so in all ways it prepares you really well.
Much better than using books because you dont have to get anyone else to test you...
